Have driven out to ride here but the komoot 'upgrade' seems to be a way of forcing purchase and it won't now show me the route. Area is great though and well worth a visit - some major uphills but some great downhill sections. Will definitely be returning. Some of the paths are currently being dug up by the council so are currently closed.

I was quite shocked how steep some of the route was.but enjoyed it..if I remember rightly there's is a tree across the path

Wharncliffe Crags is a gritstone escarpment north-west of Sheffield and a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. The area spans several miles and includes Wharncliffe Woods, home to diverse wildlife such as tree pipits, nightjars, newts, and dragonflies. The woods feature a network of forest tracks and trails ideal for exploration.

More Hall Reservoir lies in the scenic Ewden Valley. It's south of Bolsterstone and connected to Broomhead Reservoir to the west. It’s surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful countryside and bordered to the south by Carr House Meadows, a local nature reserve known for its diverse wildlife and wildflower-rich grasslands

This reservoir is located in close proximity to Stocksbridge. It's about a 3 mile walk around the lake with a nice quiet footpath on the southern side and a roadside path on the northern side.

From this vantage point you are treated to breathtaking views over Morehall Reservoir nestled amidst lush green hills and woodlands. It's a great spot to immerse yourself in nature with abundant wildlife and numerous opportunities for birdwatching.

Sitting above More Hall Reservoir, just south of Bolsterstone, this peaceful reservoir is a lovely spot for walks and picnicking. Swimming isn't expressly permitted.

It's not easy to get up there. It's a tough fire road type climb 80% of the way then through a gate on to a single track trail that takes you up the last bit. The views are amazing, well worth the effort. Coming back down is actually more difficult. It's a very rocky, stony, rooty descent. Slippy when wet going up and down!

A small, nice pond just off the main trail but easy to miss.

I ran this course but if you walk it savour the views there's a couple of seats on top

Step out onto the rock for a beautiful view over the valley.

Lovely view across the whole reservoir, such a nice circular walk round with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. Would definitely recommend

Hidden behind the Church of St Nicholas. Legend has it this place is haunted. You can't really tell from the photo but the Motte is fairly steep and is easier to get up than down!
