Great viewpoint at night 🌜

Was supposed to ride through, but did not look bike friendly, so ended up on the road around it 😔

This is a charming seaside town that has a great beach and bustling promenade. There ar eplenty of independent shops, cafés and traditional pubs to explore as well as notable attractions including the North Norfolk Railway and Sheringham Park.

Sheringham Park is a stunning, landscaped garden located on the north Norfolk coast. There are a handful of connecting gravel paths that make the park a delight to explore.

This atmospheric ruined priory at Beeston Regis was founded by Margery de Cressy in 1216 and closed by Henry VIII in 1536. Today it's a beautiful, peaceful spot.

You get the best view of it as you descend towards town from the west along the main Runton Road.

A very gentle gradient between Sheringham and 'Upper' Sheringham. You might not even change gear.

The beachside area's little streets limit the traffic and there are plenty of cafes if you want to break your ride by the seaside.

Only reachable by an unpaved path not really suitable for a road bike.

Visit the watchtower close by! I was given a tour by a very friendly and knowledgeable volunteer, and got to use his telescope too!

The Beeston Bump is a local highlight and one of the few actual 'high' points in Norfolk. Stunning views of the North Sea and both Sheringham and Cromer. Hiking in the Norfolk Coast AONB is a real pleasure and Beeston HIll is a great chance to get up high in an otherwise flat area. Combine with a hike to Beacon Hill Roman camp from either Sheringham or Cromer (or both) for a fine day out.

Originally there were two 'bumps' the second has been eroded. Bumps were created by glaciers retreating during the Ice Age.

This pretty village makes a nice place to stop and catch your breath. You can discover its historic church, quaint cottages, and enjoy its breathtaking views over the coast.

A short climb up this tower in the woods (also known as the 'Gazebo') is well worth it for the stunning views across the Norfolk Coast and out to the North Sea.

This is such a gorgeous section of running along the beautiful Norfolk Coastal Path via an undulating grassy trail high up on the clifftops. You can enjoy uninterrupted views up and down the divine coastline and out to the North Sea, which will be sure to distract those legs from all the hard work.

The beach huts along the sea front at Sheringham are available for hire from the local council. The brightly coloured huts are iconic landmarks of the British seaside. They date back to Victorian times when bathers would get changed in the hut and a horse would drag it into the sea so people could bathe without anyone seeing them in their swimming attire.

Officially, The Priory of St Mary in the Meadow, but more commonly known as Beeston Priory. It is a former Augustinian Priory, founded in 1216 Planted in the late '80's, a 7ft high copper beech maze, gardens and cafe is sited alongside the priory.
