Depending on the year, the bluebells appear here at the end of April until early May. The bluebells also extend westwards around Bunker's Hill Plantation, but we were with our older dog who couldn't walk that far

Blickling Hall Estate has a superb gravel track around two thirds of the perimeter, though watch out for horses and walkers. The Route 33 also passes through the centre of the estate passing the front of the hall.

If you want to visit Blickling Hall a road bike is probably not the best method of transport - or at least make sure you have a change of shoes! But if you're cycling in the Aylsham area this road gives you the best view of Blickling Hall.

This parish church dates to the 11th to 12th century. It was renovated in the mid 14th century when the tower was added. Some windows date to the 15th century and the porch was perhaps added in the mid 16th century. It was restored in the 19th century. To the north there is a ruined chapel.

Blickling Hall is a magnificent Jacobean mansion nestling among more than 4,600 acres of parkland. Surrounding the house, you can explore a garden which is the result of three centuries of inspired planting. The Mausoleum is one of Blickling’s most iconic landmarks. Standing at 45 feet (14 m) tall, the striking pyramid structure was built in 1793 to commemorate the death of John Hobart, the 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire. The pyramid is made of 190,000 Portland stone blocks, which were all created on the estate. The Mausoleum is in the care of the National Trust.
