Quiet lane

This is a charming seaside town that has a great beach and bustling promenade. There ar eplenty of independent shops, cafés and traditional pubs to explore as well as notable attractions including the North Norfolk Railway and Sheringham Park.

Sheringham Park is a stunning, landscaped garden located on the north Norfolk coast. There are a handful of connecting gravel paths that make the park a delight to explore.

This atmospheric ruined priory at Beeston Regis was founded by Margery de Cressy in 1216 and closed by Henry VIII in 1536. Today it's a beautiful, peaceful spot.

A nice stop to view the steam trains. Sheringham’s original station was re-opened in 1975 as the main station of the North Norfolk Railway. The original level crossing was reinstated in March 2010, allowing access to the mainline once again. The first passenger train over the new crossing was steam locomotive ‘Oliver Cromwell’, hauling a train from London Liverpool Street. The station has been restored close to its 1955 appearance, when British Railways were responsible for the line. The distinctive blue totems and enamel platform signs are evocative of that period. The Old Luggage Office buffet is open from 9.30 – 4.30. Sheringham Station’s souvenir shop is located next to the footbridge. It is open from 11.00 – 4.30 on most days. Step free access to Platform 2 is available via the foot crossing. Trains to Weybourne and Holt will leave from either Platform 1 or 2 depending on the timetable in operation during your visit. Crossing the River Glaven in the tiny, picturesque hamlet of Glandford, the ford also features a footbridge if you don't want to get your feet wet!

Weybourne Priory was a small Augustinian medieval monastic house founded around 1200 AD. It was dissolved in 1536. The Parish Church of All Saints stands nearby.

A lovely pier, with some of the best Fish and chip shops in the area. The Lifeboat Museum is well worth a visit if you have the time.

With colorful rhododendrons and thick ancient woodlands, Sheringham Park is a stunning landscape park and gardens surrounding Sheringham Hall. Although the hall is privately occupied, the gardens are open to visitors and run by the National Trust. Beautiful plants such as maples, acers and snowdrop trees can be found in the park, as well as a garden temple that was constructed in 1975. Landscape designer Humphry Repton designed the park in 1812. You can visit the park from dawn until dusk daily. The visitor center and cafe are open from 10am to 4pm. Entrance is free. The present church grew from a 13th century Priory of Augustinian Canons, which itself took over the site and building of an earlier church. You can still explore the impressive ruins of the early Norman tower and priory today.
