With an area of 13 km², Lake Bärwalde (also called Speicher Bärwalde, Upper Sorbian Bjerwałdski jězor) is the largest lake in Saxony and the third largest lake in the Lusatian Lake District. The Lausitzer Findlingspark Nochten is a landscape garden that is definitely worth seeing. There are over 7,000 boulders to admire here, and a path that is beautifully integrated into the grounds leads through the seven different sections. Visitors should take something to drink with them, however, as there is hardly any shade on the site and the grounds are very extensive. At the entrance to the site there are restaurants and a modern visitor center with information about the park. The entrance fee is absolutely fine and the service and ticket office staff are very friendly.
