Great little shop with friendly staff, nice bacon/sausage/egg cobs.

Nice friendly cafe with indoor (limited) and outside seating. Selection of light lunches and specialises in sausage rolls and cakes. Very nice coffee. Can lock bikes outside to metal railing.

Aston on Trent is a village in south Derbyshire. It's a little north of the River Trent and the Trent and Mersey Canal.

The hamlet of Ambaston is part of the wider parish of Elvaston, which is dominated by Elvaston Castle, a country house surrounded by lovely parkland and boasting a nature reserve. The hamlet occupies a spot on the Derwent Valley Heritage Way, a 55-mile (89 km) long-distance hiking route from Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District to Derwent Head, only a short distance to the south east of here.
