Quite simply the best Sourdough in Matlock! Delicious pastries and great coffee. Very welcoming and plenty of room to part bikes outside. Fantastic use of historic building in the middle of town, Chapeau!

Fabulous bakery specialising in sourdough & pastries. All freshly baked on the day. Clean fresh decor inside, lots of seating outside too catching the lunchtime sun (if there is any). Coffee is also 👌

Can be access from the road when Arkwright Conservation Area is closed.

The taproom has moved slightly down the valley now, but it’s still a great place to stop off for a pint. Good atmosphere and usually some good tunes playing.
