Along the route - some great wildlife - we saw 6 Meadow Fritillary butterflies and one frog!

A great view can be had from here, especially on a clear day.

There's a coffee van in the car park here at the weekends now - good coffee, good cake.

Upper Burbage, is within the Peak District National Park near Hathersage, Derbyshire. A beautiful valley famous for its stunning gritstone edges, expansive moorlands, and rich biodiversity. This area appeals to hikers, climbers, photographers, birdwatchers and other outdoors enthusiast It consists of two natural formations: Upper Burbage Edge and Lower Burbage Edge. They provide panoramic views. And its heather-clad moorlands hosts various species of wildlife. Birdwatchers may find ring ouzel, nightjar, woodcock, and snipe. Access is from The Upper Burbage Bridge Car Park

When the Derwent reservoir is full, the water flows out through the 'plugholes' at the southern end. A mesmerising spectacle when there's a lot of water flowing and can be enhanced by a great sunrise.

This is a scenic path that winds above the River Wye in the Peak District. You're only a moment away from Fin Cop here, a big hill that protrudes from the landscape and overlooks some of the key Peak District landmarks such as Monsal Dale.

Here you are afforded a great view of the trio of Redmires Reservoirs; upper, middle and lower. They're set in a beautiful landscape surrounded by rolling hills and moorland. They're primarily used for water supply and are managed by Yorkshire Water.

There are a group of three reservoirs that are located in Fulwood, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. They are fed by various small streams that run off the Hallam Moors.

Stanage Edge is located to the north of Hathersage and gets very busy at times with hikers, it is also popular with rock climbers. It offers great views of the Dark Peak moorlands and the Hope Valley. The gritstone edge stretches for approximately 4 miles.

Robin Hood’s Cave is concealed in the cliff face at Stanage Edge. It is believed that Robin Hood and his merry men took shelter here.
