This small customs house between Basel and Konstanz is the oldest still existing on the High Rhine. It was built in 1866 and renovated in 1975. It was in operation until 1907. Since it became too small, the new customs house was built next to it and this small post house was left standing.

On the occasion of the 750th anniversary in 2004, Holcim Schweiz AG donated an amphitheater to the municipality of Hüntwangen. The building materials producer has been quarrying gravel in this area for over 40 years. The amphitheater was built in the recultivated part of the gravel pit. The Amphitheater Hüntwangen is an open, uncovered theater embedded in the terrain. The theater was designed and built according to the principles of the Romans. It has 840 permanent seats built of concrete and stone. Additional mobile grandstands can be set up for major events. The arena of the amphitheater has a diameter of 30 meters and is made of gravel. If necessary, the adjacent meadow can be included and extended. The area also includes a festival area of approx. 4,000 m2, on which a festival tent with festival benches for approx. 400 people is installed from May to September.
