エデスビュッテル近郊の旧水車小屋は、歴史的な場所であり、今日では主に20世紀の景観の大規模な変化（運河建設）によって特徴付けられています。今日そこに立つと、昔の賑わいを想像するには少し想像力が必要です。元の水車小屋の面影はほとんど残っていません。この地域は、ミッテルラント運河の建設（1930年頃）と、後のエルベ側運河の建設（1970年代）によって大きく変化しました。

Martinsbüttel is a residential area belonging to Wedesbüttel, located in the municipality of Meine in the district of Gifhorn in Lower Saxony. Martinsbüttel is one of the places with the place name ending -büttel, which are often found in the southern district of Gifhorn.

The main house looks impressive, the grounds are private and not accessible, but from what you can see it is a very nice property.

A watermill once stood here at the Hehlenriede. Now only a sign and an old grinding stone show the location.

A cycle path leads partly around the manor. The estate is a little way from this path and because of the vegetation it is more or less visible.
