A beautifully situated pond just outside Schnepfenthal. A great spot for sunrise photos. A walk around it (it doesn't take long) offers beautiful views toward Gotha and the Thuringian Forest.

Caution! This is an absolutely adventurous mountain hike. It's truly beautiful along the rocks, but it's very, very steep, with lots of roots and loose scree. Caution is definitely advised here, but it's absolutely worth it. It's best to go from top to bottom.

I'd also like to comment here again regarding the Habichtskopf rock 🪨🦅above Lauchagrund and not far from Torstein🪨. Here's my tour: https://www.komoot.de/tour/2114826913?ref=aso Mmmmm😉...Conquering the Habichtskopf🦅 on "certain paths" is really only for those in good shape, without a fear of heights and with a lot of surefootedness, and of course at your own risk‼️‼️😉. The ropes up to the rock massif are really very hidden and, according to the commentary, will apparently be dismantled soon. A request to all Komoot users and hikers: Be careful if you really want to dare. You have to be fully committed and in good shape💪🏻💯💪🏻‼️‼️
