From Seaworld to The Marina.

Ho Chi Minh was the leader of North Vietnam from 1945 to 1969. In 1913 he was the pastry chef on the Newhaven to Dieppe Ferry. Didn't he do well!

There is a fab cycle lane that runs all the way along the terrace from the Pier right through to the Marina and beyond to saltdean. There are bicycles for hire, and it is safe for children. The Victorian 'Reading Room' café has now been done up and is open to the public, and some of the pebble beach has been landscaped to encourage the growth of seaside plants.

There has been a lot of new build in the area and, as a result, this road is now quite busy, with nowhere to get off and walk easily. I now avoid at rush hour. However, it is well worth it for the views and overall sense of achievement (and of course it is our road as much as anyone else's).

There are superb blackberries here at the foot of the Beacon during late July and August.
