Great fjord view

The Molden stretches above the Lustrafjord, which together with the Gaupnefjord forms the innermost part of the huge Sognjefjord. The Molden is often referred to as the most beautiful vantage point in Luster. From the summit plateau you can enjoy the views from different perspectives, down to the turquoise Lustrafjord, to the peaks of Jotusheimen and Breheimen, down to Urnes, towards Solvorn and Gaupne.

The summit of Molden at 1,116 meters is marked by a small stone tower and a corresponding sign. The summit book in which you can sign is also hanging here. The best view here on Molden is not from the summit itself, which is on a flat plateau, but a little further on the edge of the plateau near the radio mast.
