Steiroheia is a popular hiking mountain (472 m above sea level) above Sortland in Norway, known for the Kvila cabin and the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and waters. Officially called Steiroblåheia, the mountain can be hiked from there to the neighboring Bøblåheia mountain (610 m above sea level).

Nice stretch. Not too much traffic. Invites for a walk or swim. Look at the wind conditions before your ride.

Matmora is the 788-metre (2,585 ft) summit of what is a stunning ridge traverse, with some photogenic pinnacles that lean across the void. Narrow, airy and spectacular, it's a real highlight of the Lofoten Long Crossing long-distance trail. Expect superb views across the archipelago's jagged peaks and down to Grunnførfjorden.

Steiroheia is a popular objective above Sortland that provides superb views across the water to the neighbouring mountains. A cabin, Kvila, allows you to take shelter and enjoy the views from inside, should you wish.

You're practically riding on water here :-) Visually impressive, but the wind can be unpleasant when you're practically on the sea with your bike.

The crossing can be an adventure. There is no bike lane, the bridge is very steep and the crosswind can be really bad. I managed it with utmost strength.

It is worth climbing up from the north (hiking car park => Plus Code CG23+G2) as you have a wonderful view of the sandbank for long stretches. If possible, I would also plan the hike so that you are at the summit at high tide, as the different colors of the sea are more noticeable then.
