On the Jolimont, high above Erlach and Tschugg, lie these silent and now almost romantically mossy witnesses from the time of the First and Second World Wars. In one or two of the "infantry bunkers", the doors are even open, so that one can take a curious look into the very cramped interior. These fortifications once belonged to the "Murten Fortification" defense line and are connected to one another by a well-developed network of underground passageways and tunnels. Today, children like to use these bunkers as an adventure playground.
