Square water castle with trapezoidal farmyard on the north side. The striking gatehouse is the only remaining remnant of the Laarhof, which dates from the Spanish period. The memorial stone 1931 refers to Mr Ravenstijn who had the building restored. The coat of arms, with 3 pile drivers, can also be processed above the Poortgebouw. Striking are the 2 turrets that each have a characteristic shape. On one there is a pear on the other an apple... that's how it is also called the castle 'between apple and pear'
