The pot fountain was inaugurated in 1978. The fountain consists of three copper pots that were designed and manufactured by the staff of Union Minière (now: Umicore). They symbolize the visits of Emperor Charles to Olen as it is told in the legend of the pot with the three ears. This legend is perhaps the best known of the many Olen and Kempen folk tales and makes Olen famous far beyond the national borders. This nature reserve is a former military domain of 64 ha that is partly located on Olen territory. The domain can be reached via the Boerenkrijglaan and there is a large parking lot. Neoclassical double house of five bays and two storeys under a saddle roof (ridge parallel to the street, artificial slates), according to the literature dating back to 1760 in core, raised with an upper floor to a design by J. Van Gastel from 1869 and converted into a neoclassical double house with a blocked central risalit under a triangular pediment, renovated in 1980. Currently plastered painted cornice facade with later added decorative elements such as pseudopilasters with lotus leaf capital and balusters. Rectangular windows and a pointed arch door.
