Visbeekvallei - Kindernouw is a typical Kempen stream valley, consisting of a series of marshes, forests, heathland, bog myrtle thickets, scrubland, and grasslands. The LIFE Visbeek project, among other things, has restored the area's natural environment to attract even more plants and animals. There are several hiking trails. (Natuurpunt)

Nice for walking, but very wet in autumn/winter. Waterproof footwear is essential! It's less challenging in summer.

The nature reserve encompassing the Kindernouw-Visbeek valley covers approximately 100 hectares, 60 hectares of which lie north of the E34 and are called "Lilse Zegge" (Lille Sedge); the remaining 40 hectares lie to the south and form "Het Kindernouw." (Lille Tourism)

Narrow bridge, only for pedestrians, over the Haarlebeek

Years ago, the Witches' Tree stood here, a natural landmark at a crucial intersection. This Scots pine was felled in 1984, but a memorial was erected in 1990. All sorts of stories were attributed to the tree, including "true witch tales."
