The forest landscape in this region is very beautiful in summer, and the view of the Anlier forest and the nature reserve in the valley is highly recommended. The route there is suitable for road bikes.

The current castle is very recent. It was built in 1960 at the request of the owners, the Otreppe de Bouvette family, based on plans by architect Emile Godin. The previous castle was severely damaged in both world wars and fell into disrepair.

This is no longer the original cross. On Saturday, March 15, 2008, the old cross was excavated with the help of a crane and the new one installed.

Over a period of 22 years, from 1926 to 1948, a completely new abbey was built based on a design by architect Henri Vaes. This was primarily the work of Ghent native Albert-Marie Van der Cruyssen, who became the first abbot in 1936. To finance the major construction projects, which by then had already cost tens of millions of Belgian francs, various fundraising activities were initiated. For example, special postage stamps with a surcharge were issued by the Belgian government. The cheese factory (1931) and the brewery (1932) were established to generate the necessary funds, and laypeople were employed from the outset. The "Bird's Footbridge" in Martelange, Belgium, is a 150-meter-long pedestrian bridge that crosses the Sûre River and transports hikers into a fascinating natural world. Opened in 2011, the bridge is part of a project connecting the municipal building (Moulin Kuborn) and the former tannery park (Parc de la Tannerie). Long the path are informative panels that educate visitors about the various bird species. QR codes can be scanned with a smartphone to hear the birdsong.
