The Molignée is a left tributary of the Meuse River, 22 kilometers long. It rises in Stave in the province of Namur and flows into the Meuse at Anhée. The Molignée valley is scenically attractive and home to several castles and abbeys.

Falaën Castle is a fortified farmstead located in Falaën, in the province of Namur. The castle was built by the Polchet family between 1670 and 1673. It was originally a large quadrangular building, defended by four corner towers and a gatehouse equipped with a drawbridge. This was how the bourgeoisie protected themselves at the time from bands of plunderers. In the eighteenth century, the castle farm passed to the Coppin family, who owned it for two centuries. Thanks to the family's popularity, the castle survived the revolutionary period unscathed. In the twentieth century, the castle was sold to the Delhaye family.
