The Blaton-Ath Canal, located near Chièvres in Hainaut, is a charming network of waterways that wind through a green, rural landscape. This historic connection between the Dender and Scheldt rivers was originally built for industry and now offers a peaceful route for boaters and water lovers. The banks, with their rich flora and fauna, invite you to take relaxing walks and enjoy a pleasant picnic by the water.

The Saint-Sulpice church in Moulbaix, built in 1750 on the initiative of the Marquis François Gabriel du Chasteler, is a religious building notable for its onion bell tower, unique in the region. It is also distinguished by its stained glass windows installed in 1892 and its baptismal fonts from the 15th century. The Chasteler family has left a visible mark through the coat of arms present on the church furniture. The interior of the choir dates from the 17th century. In 1980, a violent storm damaged the bell tower, which has since been restored, including the installation of a new rooster at the top at 31 meters high.

The Moulin de la Marquise is a wooden windmill dating from 1747. Initially built in Blicquy in 1614, it was transferred to Moulbaix and sold to the Marquis Gabriel François du Chasteler in 1748. Restored in 1942 by Jozef Dhaenens, it is still in operation, equipped with electric motors to operate in all weathers. The mill has been classified as a historic monument since 1944.

Ormeignies Castle, located in the village of the same name in Wallonia, is a historic residence built in the mid-19th century by Édouard de Rouillé. Initially an 18th century manor house, it was rebuilt after a fire in 1866 by his son Adhémar, in a neoclassical style by the architect Désiré Limbourg. The castle and its estate were sold in 1934 and dismantled shortly after. Today, only a side wall with a staircase remains, visible from the public road.

A great cycle path runs along the canal.
