The Verrebeekmolen is a stone corn windmill, a ground-sail type, located on the northeast side of Verrebeke. The mill has a very eventful history.

The grain is milled using two fully equipped pairs of English natural stones from the quarries of La-Ferté-sous-Jouarre (France) and sharpened with an eccentric straight-edged skewer. This results in a very excellent end product: 100% high-quality flour made from wheat, rye, and spelt. The third pair of stones is used exclusively for grinding grain into animal feed. Superb forest path, in relatively good condition and with a gentle slope. Be careful, it can be quite slippery when it's wet.

It is a nice place with many terraces: ideal for a drink after the tour.

Away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the mystical Livierenbos. The mystical Livierenbos is a large old forest with open spaces located on the border of the Flemish Ardennes and Pays des Collines. In this large forest, too, the bluebell is the main character every year in April. Historical significance: the name of the forest – in French Bois de la Louvière – is Romanesque in origin and refers to the presence of wolves. Wolves lived in the forest until the 17th century, which regularly led to fierce hunts. With the knowledge of the past (werewolves) and the possible appearance of flying witches, it is doubly enjoyable and we stroll dreamily along blue-purple carpets through the present.

The small, picturesque community of D’Hoppe/La Houppe is the ideal starting point for hikes through the primeval forests of Flanders or in the Pays des Collines region. Afterwards, you can relax in one of the many cozy cafés and restaurants. The Hoppeberg, also known as La Houppe, is a hill in Flobecq in the Pays des Collines region, on the border with the Flemish Ardennes, at an altitude of 148 meters.

At this point the highlights of the Brakel, Vloesberg and La Houppe forests come together. This is a real highlight.
