This is the Girl nr 11 by the Abruzzese artist Franco Summa. The contemporary artist's wish was that the sculptures be placed in urban sites with a height between 4 and 5 meters. It is located in Piazza Dalmazia near the port of Giulianova and the Kursaal Palace.

This building from the early 1900s is currently used as a conference hall, but was once intended as a building for shows and tourist entertainment. Severely damaged during the Second World War, it was later restored and used for events and conferences. Located near the port, on the Zadar waterfront.

On April 22, 1557, there is said to have been a wonderful apparition of the Virgin Mary on the site of today's monastery. Over time, this monastery has developed in its current form. In 1559 the Capuchins near Giulianova received a first donation from the Acquaviva family and built a church dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel. The church is shaped like a Latin cross and is adorned with large paintings by Alfonso Tentarelli in 1954. In the church there is a wooden statue of Mary with Jesus who blesses the child from the 15th century. This statue is called "Madonna dello Splendore" (Madonna of Splendor), after which this entire complex (church and monastery) is named.

In the center of the city is the picturesque and pretty Piazza della liberta with a large statue of Garibaldi, the Italian independence fighter. Around the piazza there are small shops and also many bars under beautiful arcades, and some pretty gardens on the square. If you stand in front of the piazza and turn towards the sea, you have a very, very beautiful view over the small port of Giulianova and the entire Adriatic coast.
