Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor. The hut is no longer recommended. I was there myself at the beginning of August 2025: expensive, uncomfortable, and the food was not good. I recommend that hikers from Munich to Venice either take the cable car down to Hintertux or slightly replan their tour from the Lizumer Hut to exit directly in Hintertux without taking the cable car. For the connecting tour via the Friesenbergscharte, you can take the "Gletscherbus" cable car from 8 a.m.

A view of the Tux Valley is great from every perspective here at the end of the valley.

From the bench you have a beautiful view of the valley and the glacier.

This waterfall is quite high up on hiking trail 526. You should walk the trail from the bottom to the top.

After what felt like an endless climb, we finally found a bench to rest on, and it overlooked a waterfall. Wonderful!

There are several waterfalls on the Hintertux hiking trail 526 and all of them are beautiful to look at.
