Piazza del Popolo is the main square of Cesena, located in the historic city centre. The square is home to the town hall, the Rocchetta di Piazza and the Fontana Masini, a fountain from the late 16th century. Historically, the square was laid out in its current form around 1400 by Andrea Malatesta. The square has had several names over the years, and was given its current name after World War II.
