This boundary stone from 1747 is remarkably well preserved. The County of Kyburg was a dominion within the Holy Roman Empire. Later, the county fell to the Habsburgs, until finally the city of Zurich acquired it. In 1798, the county was dissolved as an administrative unit during the Helvetic Republic and the French invasion.
