After passing Bardineto, a long and splendid descent begins, offering breathtaking views of Loano and its coast. Be careful, though, as the road is very narrow in places, barely allowing one car to pass at a time, and it has several potholes. Therefore, despite the temptation, you shouldn't descend too quickly.

A beautiful hike to Pairola. Then it's a rather shaky route to Monte Quagli...and just before that, the road is closed: private area! That meant back to Pairola and then off to the beach. It's a shame that it's no longer easy to report this. Perhaps the new management will improve things. We've seen all this before, haven't we?

October 2024: The pista ciclabile is ready between Ospedaletti and Porto Maurizio / Imperia. The section within Imperia is still under construction, except for a small piece (tunnel) in Oneglia / Imperia. The section between Imperia and Diano Marino is temporary closed for completion so this means climbing the Capo Berta on via Aurelia. The section from Cervo to Andora is also under construction. Probably not completed until summer 2025.
