ボルノから出発してアクセスできます。修復された獣道を進み、路面はコンクリート舗装されています（最後の区間は地滑り復旧工事のため通行止めで、迂回路標識あり）。勾配は20％を超える箇所もあります。

Here you'll find a group of engraved monoliths (engraved stone blocks) dating back to the Copper Age (about 4,500 years ago, or the 3rd millennium BC). These stelae were part of an important ceremonial and megalithic site, where rituals were held. They are characterized by engravings depicting celestial symbols, animals, weapons (such as Remedello-type daggers), and stylized human faces, sometimes with decorative elements such as pendants and collars. The original stelae have been removed for conservation reasons and are on display at the MUPRE (National Museum of Prehistory of Valle Camonica) in Capo di Ponte. Reproductions are visible here.

The lake is located at approximately 1,392 meters above sea level and can be reached via several hiking trails, including the Sentiero della Memoria (Path of Remembrance) that starts from the church of San Fiorino in Borno. After a short paved stretch to the Trattoria Navertino, you take a dirt path that winds through larch and fir trees, with steep sections and slippery cobblestones. The hike is immersed in a natural environment typical of the Lombard Prealps. A longer alternative is the Monte Mignone – Lago di Lova circular hike, approximately 11.1 km long with an elevation gain of 837 meters, to be done counterclockwise. Lago di Lova is also a hub for other trails: from here, you can continue towards the Rifugio San Fermo or the Rifugio Laeng, following CAI trails 106 and 182. Parking is available near the lake, making it accessible even for less experienced hikers. From a scenic perspective, the lake is nestled in a green valley surrounded by woods and pastures, with calm waters reflecting the sky and surrounding mountains. It's an ideal destination in all seasons, but particularly captivating in autumn for the colors of the foliage.

A very pleasant climb from Val di Scalve to Borno. Beautiful and not particularly challenging. 😊

Reaching the Gualtiero Laeng refuge could be a daunting undertaking for the less fearless hearts, for this reason the first sighting along the way is always a thrill. Even more so if you are surrounded by unparalleled panoramas, made of rocks, trees, bushes and clouds.
