done on 21 Aug 24 I started the route in the afternoon around 2:30 pm with the temperature 30 degrees on the way up and all in the shade so doable even in the heat, the summit is all exposed to the sun but in the afternoon you feel it little, the descent is also mostly shaded but challenging I suffered a lot :) but with attention you can do everything. Monte Palanzone (1,436m asl) is one of the main peaks of the Lariano Triangle, second in height only to Monte San Primo. The peak looks like a grassy pyramid that rises along the Como ridge. From afar it can be recognized by the presence of a pyramidal chapel. It can be reached easily from the peak of Sormano or from Alpe del Vicerè.
