A beautiful and interesting structure. But unfortunately, probably due to Germany's maximum safety concern, three of these offset barriers were built into the Spiralweg, preventing smooth entry and exit because you have to maneuver through the offset obstacles.

If you enjoy a leisurely, straight-ahead ride, this might be a highlight. On weekends, when the weather's nice, you can often expect lots of walkers and cyclists. It's a great place to warm up or cool down after a strenuous ride.

Super Trail im Waldnaabtal....

In my opinion, the Sauerbrunnen is the least spectacular stopover on a hike through the Waldnaabtal. There is a spring with "acidic" (= mineral-rich) water and a small covered pavilion.

Here you will not only find a beautiful little waterfall with rapids, but also a bench to sit on. Definitely a picturesque photo opportunity.

A rock colossus made of granite. It actually looks a bit like an anvil. The landscape behind the anvil, when you walk towards Falkenberg, slowly develops into a river floodplain landscape. Really amazing.
