Perhaps the most interesting and certainly the oldest of them is Kastro, which you will find above the resort of Limenaria (about 12 kilometers of driving on a wide and decent asphalt road). The village lies at an altitude of almost 500 meters above sea level. The village is almost completely deserted - only two families currently live here. One of them runs a tavern, so you can also get some refreshments here.

It is not a problem to choose your dream beach on Thassos. In fact, it is a problem because you will not be able to decide which one is the best. Thassos has some of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in the Aegean Sea, you will find sandy beaches and beaches with smooth marble pebbles, rocky coves ideal for snorkeling and long stretches with a gradual entry into the water suitable even for the smallest children and sports activities.
