This is a pretty, peaceful valley beneath the towering peaks of the Teton Range. You'll find fields of wildflowers, small alpine lakes, and winding singletrack. The basin is outside of Grand Teton National Park, so as long as you are 200 feet from the trail and any water sources, you can camp for free without a permit (look for pre-existing dispersed camping sites).

Beautiful and serene place to be! Not crowded in the morning! This is the way to go to the disappointment peak! Saw few people taking a dip!

This bridge crosses over Lake Creek, a mountain stream that flows south from Phelps Lake. This stream is at its peak flow during snowmelt, but runs throughout the summer.

As you follow the trail, the dense vegetation gradually gives way to a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains. This is a great place to take a pause.

Super nice hike, but the rating of the trails by Komoot is wrong. On the map it looks like the trail further down from the Lupine Meadows car park is T3 and then at the turnoff to Delta Lake T2. In reality the trail is T2 up to the turnoff and then, at least in phases, T3. There are two scree fields and some very steep sections. But it's all doable and there are also several families with children on the trail.

Palisades Creek rushes out of Upper and Lower Palisades Creek and is home for several species of trout. The Palisades Creek Trail runs along and takes you the two scenic alpine lakes nestled in the Palisades Creek Canyon.
