9月 24, 2025, Collegiata di San Secondo
Divided into three naves by twelve pillars supporting arches and cross vaults on a Latin cross plan, the church contains works of great artistic value by painters of the 16th and 17th centuries. Of note are the carved choir and wooden lectern, commissioned by Bishop Innocenzo Migliavacca at the end of the 17th century. At the end of the nave is the Chapel of San Secondo, built between 1772 and 1789 to a design by Bernardo Antonio Vittone.

As a memorial to the many dead, such memorials or war memorials are still very important today. "Now, Lord, let your servant go in peace, as you said." However, the people who are commemorated here did not divorce in peace, but became victims of war and tyranny. For this reason, the term "war memorial" is sometimes used instead of the "war memorial" that was usually used in the past. Many of the places and monuments that you come across along the way are evidence of the horrors of war and tyranny, which is still relevant and relevant today. They all have two essential functions, and this for each new generation: -1- Commemorate and remember the victims -2- Remind to keep the peace

6月 4, 2022, Collegiata di San Secondo
The Collegiate Church of San Secondo is one of the oldest Gothic churches in Asti. With the adjacent municipal seat and opposite the square of the same name, it forms the heart of the city. Dedicated to San Secondo, patron saint of the city, it was built according to tradition on the site of his martyrdom and burial. The exact time of its foundation is not known, the oldest document mentioning the church dates from August 1, 880. Don't forget to visit the Crypt: Explanation: The pre-Romanesque layout of the church cannot be reconstructed in any way, except for the presence of the crypt; the oldest part dates from the 6th/7th century, consisting of four small columns surmounted by Corinthian imitation capitals with a double order of leaves. Two side walls and two wrought iron gates delimit the "cella confessionis", inside which is the sixteenth century reliquary, in silver, with the bones of the martyr from Asti.

12月 24, 2021, Piazza Castagnole Monferrato
In 1306 the town with other localities was given as a pledge to Charles of Provenza by the Marquis of Saluzzo, who had a close relationship with him, because he refused to accept the recognition of Theodore I Palaiologos, second-born son of Andronicus and Violante, as one Lord of Monferrato. In 1309, the representatives of Castagnole took part in a Parliament in Chivasso and are also present in the following ones: Castagnole is therefore now an integral part of the State and its fate follows. The Palaeologus of Monferrato had multiple confirmations of their dominion over the village, including the diploma of Emperor Charles IV in 1355 and that of Maximilian I, in 1494. In 1391 the castle and the town hosted the troops of Facino Cane, the fearsome leader of fortune, in those years employed by the Marquis Teodoro II.
