From 9th to 11th May, feast of the Patron Saints Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino. Among the crucial moments of the festival we remember the exit of the Nuri (naked): At 1:00 on May 10th the Nuri riding the Giro Santo. They are bare-chested, barefoot men, wearing only a pair of short white trousers and a red ribbon, holding one hand behind their back and a candle or a bouquet of flowers in the other. They run through the streets of Lentini remembering the tour that the Holy Martyrs made, amidst atrocious suffering, around the ancient city walls. The women also arrive behind them, barefoot.

The patron saint is the Madonna of the Snow celebrated on August 5th each year. During the celebrations the painting of the Madonna is placed inside a fercolo and carried in procession

Lake Lentini, or biviere di Lentini, is located in the province of Syracuse, in Sicily. According to legend, it was created by the hero Hercules, while some believe it was the work of the Templars in the 12th century. Dried up in the 20th century, it was later rebuilt in the 1970s. Today it is an oasis for migratory birds and nesting species.

From behind the Archaeological Zone of Leontinoi, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lentini. You can also see Lake Lentini and the majesty of Etna on the clearest days.

Villasmundo, ('Vill'Asmundo' in dialect), is a fraction of the municipality of Melilli. Its origins date back to the fiefdom of San Giuliano, which saw various owners including the Scalambros, the Arezzos, the Asmundos and finally the Paternò - Castellos. The foundation of Villasmundo is closely linked to Don Consalvo Asmundo, who in 1701 obtained the royal Licentia populandi to build the hamlet. Among the places of interest, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo stands out, in rococo style, and the Villasmundo-Sant'Alfio Speleological Complex integral nature reserve, a rich system of karst cavities.

Pedagaggi, ('u Casali o Pirajaci' in Sicilian) is a charming hamlet of Carlentini in Sicily. Its origin dates back to the end of the 12th and the beginning of the 13th century, being born as a feudal farmhouse. Although its history is fascinating and complex, the toponym "Pedagaggi" has undergone various transformations over the centuries, with names such as "Pidachi", "Pedagagii" and "Piedachi". Even today, the inhabitants affectionately call their town "Casale". Over time, Pedagaggi has preserved the essence of traditions and the simplicity of rural life, as well described by Sebastiano Addamo.

Francofonte ('Francufonti' in Sicilian) is a significant agricultural centre, bordering Lentini and Carlentini. The area offers a panoramic view of the citrus landscape, combining mountain, plain and sea. It has an ancient history, with traces of prehistoric civilizations and influences from the times of the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Arabs.
