The thousand-year-old Abbey, whose origins are still unclear, has represented in the past and continues to represent today, especially thanks to its geographical location, a point of connection between East and West, where different cultures can meet and dialogue. Built around the year 1000, the abbey church is in Romanesque style and is dedicated to St. Peter the Apostle. It bears the signs of renovations over time, and architectural elements dating back to different eras (early medieval, 16th-century, and 19th-century) can be found.

Enchanting panorama from Moruzzo

Beautiful old property that is currently being renovated as of October 1st, 2023. The intersection on the mountain, which leads down in four directions, is also interesting. The panorama is the reward for the climb.

From this panoramic point on the Manzano hills it is possible to observe the Rosazzo Abbey and the surrounding hills. The abbey, in reality, does not belong to the municipality of Manzano, but to that of Corno di Rosazzo: today home to a cultural centre, in the abbey there is a splendid church decorated with sixteenth-century frescoes.
