Procida's historic center is a maze of alleys, arches, and pastel-colored houses that reflect the island's authentic soul. Here, internal courtyards alternate with small squares, shops, and typical Procida homes with external staircases and terraces overlooking the sea. Strolling or cycling through these streets, you'll discover quiet corners, glimpses of the Corricella, and the simple, maritime atmosphere that has characterized the island for centuries. This is the vibrant heart of Procida, where the slow pace of daily life can still be felt.

The Port of Chiaiolella is one of the most picturesque spots on Procida's southern coast. Protected by a long, curved pier, it hosts fishing boats, small vessels, and a lively waterfront with bars, restaurants, and piers. From here, views open up to the islet of Vivara and the beaches of Ciraccio, among the most scenic spots on the island.

Marina di Procida, also known as Marina Grande, is the island's main port and one of its liveliest villages. Among pastel-colored buildings, moored fishing boats, and cafes overlooking the harbor, Procida's maritime soul is immediately apparent. The square, the shops, and the waterfront create the perfect setting for a stop before exploring the rest of the island. Ferries and hydrofoils to Naples and the mainland also depart from this port.

Known for its location as the "Terrace of Procida," Sèmmarèzio is a beautiful little square that was once the scene of a tragic event: the hanging of sixteen citizens whose only crime was joining the Neapolitan Republic. Since then, it has been known as Piazza dei Martiri, replacing the name Spassìggio, meaning "passageway," as it was a crossroads between the villages of Corricella, Marina Grande, and Terra Murata. Dominating the square are the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a beautiful example of Baroque architecture well worth a visit, and Palazzo De Iorio, built in the second half of the 18th century on the foundations of a Gothic building. Also noteworthy is the statue of the illustrious Antonio Scialoja, a Procida economist and politician.

Going to visit the Aragonese castle, it is inevitable not to enter the Church of the Holy Spirit, dedicated to the Ischia saint "San Giovanni Giuseppe" della Croce. Built between 1636 and 1676 in place of the chapel dedicated to Santa Sofia.

It is a small corner of peace and tranquillity. It is possible to take a long walk and a visit to the Madonna di Zaro is certainly an experience
