The climb to Colle della Lombarda from Pratolungo is about 20 km long with a difference in altitude of 1400 meters. The gradient is challenging, with long stretches often between 8% and 10%. The road climbs in a severe and panoramic Alpine environment and the arrival at the Colle marks the Italian-French border.

This lake is a recent construction, dating back to 2014. During the summer you can even swim, a panacea for tired legs after trekking! The unique sculpture placed inside the basin is called "Untitled – Renaissance" and was created by the Neapolitan artist Emmanuele De Ruvo. It represents a broken eggshell to symbolize, in the words of the artist, "the moment of passage between the act and the experience".

This is a small village in the Stura Valley that is charming and whose centre is very pleasant to visit by bike. It has several cafés, trattorias and shops where you can buy various supplies for the needs of cyclists.
