There's always something going on here! :) Live music, events, and hut fun are all part of the program. The decor is absolutely worth seeing, and the food is excellent! A true highlight on the Penken!

The Stillup Reservoir is idyllically nestled in the upper Zillertal valley and impresses with its turquoise-blue waters and the steep mountain slopes that surround it. At the southern end, where the tributary flows into the lake, a vast, tranquil landscape opens up with clear streams, green meadows, and partly rocky shorelines. The surroundings change their appearance depending on the season – sometimes with lush greenery and a vibrant water surface, sometimes with a receding water level that reveals the natural structure of the terrain. The path along the reservoir is particularly attractive for a bike ride, offering both scenic diversity and impressive views of the surrounding mountains. The tranquility of the lakeshore and the proximity to untouched nature make this place an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

The bike ride along the Zemmbach stream is a special experience – scenically beautiful and physically challenging. From the start in the Zillertal, the wildly rushing stream accompanies the route steadily uphill towards the Schlegeis reservoir. The trail leads through several impressive gorges where the water has carved deep into the rock. Especially in the morning hours, when the light streams through the narrow rock faces and the fog slowly lifts, an almost mystical atmosphere arises. The bike ride itself is well-developed but challenging: Numerous elevation gains, steeper sections, and tight bends demand stamina – but the reward is magnificent. Spectacular views of waterfalls, rugged rock formations, and the alpine surroundings open up again and again. A perfect combination of enjoyment of nature, physical challenge, and alpine adventure.

An unforgettable view of the turquoise Schlegeis Reservoir awaits the ambitious cyclist after an impressive bike tour through the Zillertal. Surrounded by steep rock faces and snow-capped peaks, the clear waters of the reservoir spread out amidst the majestic Alpine landscape. The fresh mountain air, the gentle rippling of the waterfalls, and the tranquility of nature create a calming atmosphere. Benches along the shore invite you to linger – perfect for taking a break after your ride, enjoying the view, and recharging your batteries. A place where you can intensely experience the beauty of the Tyrolean mountains.

The Waldl Alm in the Stillup Valley has a long history as a traditional alpine farm in the Zillertal Valley. Like many alpine pastures in the region, it has been used for generations as a summer pasture for livestock. During the summer months, farmers drove their young cattle, mostly cows and cattle, from the valleys to the higher meadows to utilize the natural fodder resources there while keeping the fields in the valley clear for haymaking. The Waldl Alm is a typical example of the centuries-old alpine pasture farming that continues to characterize the Zillertal landscape today. The alpine buildings are traditionally made of wood and stone and are simple in design – functional for alpine life, yet harmoniously embedded in nature. Even today, the originality and rhythm of traditional alpine life can still be felt here. A quiet place steeped in history, surrounded by impressive nature.
