The Franco Cavazza al Pisciadù refuge, owned by the CAI of Bologna, is located in Alta Badia at 2587 m above sea level. near the border with Val Gardena and offers an excellent accommodation service, bar and restaurant with typical Ladin cuisine.

Federa Lake, cradled in the heart of the Dolomites along the Alta Via n.1, is a shimmering gem that enchants hikers with its alpine beauty. Nestled amid towering peaks and rugged cliffs, the lake reflects the grandeur of the surrounding landscape. As you approach Federa Lake on the Alta Via n.1, the panorama unfolds, revealing the turquoise waters mirroring the rocky spires above. The air is crisp, carrying the scent of mountain flora, and the stillness is interrupted only by the occasional rustle of wildlife.

Perfectly located to strengthen yourself after climbing. Wonderful sun terrace.

Very nice little mountain lake. Simply deviate from the main hiking trail and take a look. Very worthwhile!

Perfect picnic spot.

Lake of glacial origin, 15 minutes from the ref. Coldai, an excellent place to have a picnic to rest and resume the journey towards the eventual Rifugio Tissi of a further 2h, where I recommend the high path on the scree because it is less tiring. (CAI path 560 variant of the Altavia)
