Yes, not so much for the small lake, just a few centimetres deep and increasingly narrow, but for the nearby, very beautiful and spectacular waterfalls, and of course also for the surrounding environment.

The Malga Pioda, in masonry and wood, is immersed in mountain nature and has approximately 70 hectares of pasture, currently hosting a flock of sheep. This is the perfect place to sample a charcuterie and cheese platter.

At an altitude of 2,300 meters, the rocky path called Tivan opens up to an incredible view of a moon-like landscape with scattered boulders and rocks. The whole area is known as Schinal del Bech, even though the actual peak is nearby. This place is famous for the via ferrata that starts here. You can see the famous red writing "Ferrata Alleghesi" on the rock. Even if you don't decide to do the via ferrata, running this trail is a real pleasure, both for the breathtaking views and for the challenge it offers.

The Laghetto Al Vach is a small body of water located in a basin of glacial origin, which was once used as a grazing area for livestock. The name "Al Vach" derives from its use as a trough for livestock. The surrounding area is characterized by a rich vegetation of spruce, beech and larch trees, and also offers the presence of rhododendron and blueberry plants. The lake is inhabited by numerous tadpoles, and it is possible to spot newts and salamanders. A short walk leads to the foot of a beautiful waterfall that descends from the bastion below the Scarselòin, where the Angelini hut is located. If you wish to make a nice loop from here, I recommend running up to Colcever, a perfect option to complete a fascinating loop in the surrounding area.

A short path leads to the foot of the beautiful waterfall that comes out of the bastion below the Scarselòin, where Baita Angelini is located.

Great place for refreshment and lodging, courteous staff. At 15min there is the Coldai lake where it is worth visiting it and going around it to enjoy further panoramas, between valleys and mountains.
