Today, these fortifications defend the citadel from intense perimeter motorized traffic, even heavy. For this reason, coming from Este, in an anticlockwise direction, it is advisable to cross viale Trento and follow the signs for "Parco di Fiumicello": in this way you enter the citadel through "Porta Vicenza", thus avoiding the bulk of the traffic

Nice stretch of cycle path, all asphalted, which leads to Montagnana. Beware that, more or less towards the middle of the route, there are a couple of rather dangerous hollows if you arrive at speed.
