Fort Geremia is a military fortress of the western Ligurian Apennines, which stands (at an altitude of 806 m above sea level) on the eastern fortress of Bric Geremia, a relief of the main Apennine ridge. It is located a very short distance from the Ligurian coast (7 km as the crow flies) and at the point where the Cerusa, Leiro and Stura valleys converge.

Dirt road that from Loc. Cappelletta (above Masone) leads to Forte Geremia. Interceptable from various points, hard surface with some stones (former mule track) in general however it remains pedalable with a little effort (with front you can't get off the bike), slopes not absurd but some sections at 10%, it pulls constant. Almost all the way through the woods, the descent is shaky but doable.

Beautiful refuge located a stone's throw from the top of Mount Argentea, at an altitude of 1,088 meters above sea level. It is managed by the CAI of Arenzano and is open from May to September on weekends.

Hi Emiliano but where do you get there?? From Rifugio Argentea to Cogoleto or Arenzano what is the best route for bikes?? The one marked black 4 that starts from the refuge is decidedly portage and not at all smooth. Can you let me know something Thanks!

Apennine pass between the municipalities of Mele and Masone, both in the province of Genoa, the Turchino is one of the symbolic climbs of the Milan-Sanremo. Since the 1950s, the climb has been asphalted and is no longer able to create selection among the runners in the race, but it is still the highest point of the Classicissima. At the top of the Turchino, in addition to a memorial dedicated to Costante Girardengo, there is a tunnel redone in the 2000s. The Turchino is also known nationally for a singular idea proposed by a viewer of the program "Portobello", hosted at the end of the 1970s by the very famous Enzo Tortora. It consisted of knocking down the Turchino itself and this portion of the Apennines to open a passage between the sea and the Po Valley, thus presuming to solve the problem of the fog.
