「ヴェルディッキオの首都」として知られるクプラモンターナは、ピケニとローマ起源のマルケ州の村です。その名前は、ウンブリア人とピケニによって崇拝された、ローマ以前の起源を持つ豊穣と美の女神クプラへの崇拝に由来しています。この町は、ブドウ畑に覆われたなだらかな丘の素晴らしい景色を望み、イタリアで最も重要な白ワインの1つであるヴェルディッキオ・デイ・カステッリ・ディ・イェージの首都と見なされており、20世紀の偉大な版画家、画家、作家、詩人であるルイージ・バルトリーニの生誕地でもあります。
