Old Traun Bridge (Wels–Thalheim) • Located directly in the city center, it connects Wels with Thalheim. [wels +1] • Built in 1901 as a steel structure with two large arches by the Ignaz Gridl bridge construction company (Vienna). Wels is one of Austria's most important railway junctions. The railway bridge is therefore a key component of the north-south and east-west connections. It has been maintained and adapted to modern requirements several times over the years.

Wonderfully situated in Schloss Lichtenegg Park. Can be rented from the city of Wels. It was recently extensively renovated and is a must-see in Wels! Unfortunately, almost no one takes the time to see it. Be sure to see the entire park. Parking is available and free. Tours are free, but unfortunately, only open for special events. Safety comes first. Some people don't appreciate history or private property! The residents are happy people. Very quiet and in the heart of Wels.
