Beautiful place that invites you to linger

come by road and not the beach

The statue of San Silverio, overlooking the sea, is located in close proximity to the Chapel of San Silverio.

This small picturesque chapel, located directly on the sea, is dedicated to San Silverio. The church was built in 1938 by the locals and by the many fishermen from Ponza who lived on this coast.

The Vignola tower, built in 1605, is part of the complex of fortified structures which, from the early Middle Ages until the mid-nineteenth century, constituted the defensive, sighting and communication system of the coastal strip of Sardinia. The tower is located on a promontory between the tip of Li Francesi and the hamlet of Vignola, and was in visual contact with the tower of Santa Reparata. The tower offers a magnificent panoramic view of the beach and the surrounding juniper forest.

This stretch of sand includes two beaches: Lu Litarroni and Naracu Nieddu. Lu Litarroni most likely takes its name from the buckthorn (evergreen shrub typical of the Mediterranean scrub which is recognized by its reddish bark) which characterized this coastal area. Naracu Nieddu is certainly smaller than the first beach and is characterized by the presence of large granite boulders that emerge, creating a contrast with the high white limestone cliffs of nearby Corsica. Both of these beaches are accessible via wooden walkways that pass through the majestic pine forest.
