Also known as the Costalunga Pass or Karerpass in German, the Carezza Pass is located between the Catinaccio and Latemar groups and connects Vigo di Fassa with Nova Levante and Val d'Ega. Together with the Rolle, it was the first Dolomite climb ever tackled in the Giro d'Italia, in the sixteenth stage of 1937: that day Gino Bartali won.

Forte Dossaccio is a historic Austro-Hungarian fortification built during the First World War.
