In the remains of the old castle walls there is this beautiful door that leads into the Vicolo dei Palchi (alley of the palaces). This gate, however, is not contemporary with the walls, but much more recent. It was probably opened in the nineteenth century to facilitate access to this part of the city.

The parish church of Meliciano is dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. The façade was rebuilt between 1779 and 1780. Its bell tower stands out above the roofs of the village and is visible from far away.
