The Faschina Road (L 193) is a state road in Austria. It is 38.6 km long and runs from Nüziders on the Ill River to Au on the Bregenzer Ach. A large part of the route runs through the Großes Walsertal Valley. The state road is named after the Faschinajoch Pass, the highest point on the route at 1,486 m above sea level. Wikipedia

A beautiful, approximately 21-kilometer climb from Thüringen to the Faschinajoch. One of several routes to the top. The first few kilometers are quite tough, but shortly after St. Gerold, things ease off a bit. The real challenge, however, awaits towards the end – be sure to save enough energy for that!

Driving on the L200 is never really fun, especially not in the summer with all the holiday and leisure traffic. This perfectly asphalted stretch (komoot just doesn't know this) leads very picturesquely along various farm tracks and allows you to escape the avalanche of cars.
