The refuge is located at the end of Pian della Mussa, easily reached on foot on a paved road in a couple of minutes from the last parking lot before the traffic ban. Those willing to hike another hour, along a trail that's steep in places, can reach the beautiful Piano Ciamarella, and it's also possible to take a circular hike.

This refuge is managed and open only during the summer months. It's possible to stop for a break when climbing to the summit of Rocciamelone. It's located approximately halfway between La Riposa and Rocciamelone.

In the summer, many people go up to this welcoming refuge, and in the absence of snow or ice, I think it can be done by anyone. There are no dangerous stretches, just some quite steep ones, such as the initial serpentine, or some stretches at the end where fixed ropes help you not to slip on the rocks, especially useful in winter

The Città di Ciriè Refuge is located at 1850 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Balme (To), in Pian della Mussa. The refuge can be reached by car in the summer months Equipped with 25 beds, it offers bar, restaurant, wine tasting and hotel service.

The Aurelio Ravetto Social Hut is located near the Colle della Croce di Ferro and under Mount Palon. It is open from mid-July to mid-September. It was a barracks for many years, it was built between the two world wars. In the sixties, then, it was bought by Mr. Aurelio Ravetto who later gave it as donations to 12 members.
