quiet and suggestive walk with a path that takes you right to the bed of the Po in a calm and beautiful spot

Carignano is located on the left bank of the Po and was a flourishing medieval village, but in the 19th century it lost importance with the advent of the railways. Among its beauties stand out the eighteenth-century cathedral of Benedetto Alfieri, the church of the Madonna delle Grazie and the sanctuary of Valinotto, built in 1738 around the venerated Madonna del Latte. The historic houses preserve terracotta decorations and refined artistic details.

The chapel in the woods dates back to 1560. In 1988 the interior decorations were restored.

It's always nice to see

One of the springs that give the name to the nearby cycle path. Not always active, as it is a rising groundwater table, and in periods of drought it is dry: but when there is water, it is a spectacle. Nearby, a beautiful green area. Nice stopover point.

After crossing the bridge there is a short but steep climb, for some it is better to push the mountain bike by hand
